Building Junior Triathlon in the Capital
If your child loves to swim, ride their bike and run then Little T’s Triathlon may be for them. The Little T’s Triathlon program gives kids the opportunity to participate in swimming, cycling and running in a fun and safe environment. It will be operated out of Canberra’s Olympic Pool in the City so a central location for all.
Each week kids will rotate each of the 4 disciplines of swim, bike/transition and run followed by a fun non-competitive race to implement the skills learnt each week.
Experienced coaches will teach the kids freestyle swimming (must be able to swim 50m), cycling technique and skills, the fundamentals of transitions and run technique and general fitness.
There is no longer limited opportunities for kids to race because each week they can do it with their friends as part of the 2×1 hour Little T’s Program.
The program is developed and implemented by Corey Bacon who has been involved in triathlon for over 20 years. He has been actively involved in local triathlon clubs and more heavily involved in developing junior triathlon in Canberra and surrounding regions for over 10 years.
The new and exciting Little T’s Triathlon program runs on Saturday and Sundays from 3-4pm each day. Communication to parents is via FB messenger so let us know if you want to know what is going on each week. Note that sessions are not held every weekend it will be based on Coach Corey’s availability.
Cost for each session is $10 payable at the time of session.
